Changing culture by learning to love.

Learning to Love Ministries equips believers in Central Florida with practical, Christ centered tools to love well, and empowers them to multiply that love by discipling others.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." – John 13:34-35

WHAT WE STUDY TOGETHER

A simple, honest study of the life of Jesus.

Our method is built on a simple principle: the Gospel is the teacher, the group is the student. No expert required and no curriculum to buy. Just an open Bible.

Experience real change encountering the person of Jesus within a Jesus Circle.

A Jesus Circle is a six-to-eight week small group study built around a single question: Who is this Jesus?

Each week, a trained host gathers a small group (friends, neighbors, coworkers) and works through eight carefully chosen moments from the Gospels—encounters where people met Jesus face-to-face and walked away transformed.

  • “Person of Jesus has changed the way I see Jesus Christ and made Him come alive for me. It’s a deep dive into who Jesus is, His love for us and how he treated those around. I’ve been blessed by learning tools that I can apply directly into my relationship with my husband and kids. My husband, who walked away from God for many years and is slowly turning back, attended one class and he was hooked. If you want a transformative study that’s going to change your life then I recommend you attend one of Brian or Amanda’s POJ classes. You’ll see Jesus in a way like you’ve never seenHim before”

    — Za Thao Crosthwaite

  • “My faith has grown and deepened as a result of attending weekly POJ discussions for the last 2 years. It is not your typical Bible study. It is an environment where everyone is invited to the discussion. It has helped me to connect more intimately to the stories in the Bible and understand the dynamics involved in how Christ interacted with the world. I also love that I can bring my kids and they don’t complain about being there and I can see the subtle ways that Christ is seeping into their hearts as a result.”

    – Jill Smith

  • “POJ has had such a positive impact on my life. I love that POJ emphasizes first seeing the way Jesus sees—pausing to take in people and situations with compassion, understanding, and truth before responding. That perspective has helped me slow down and bring more clarity, grace, and intention into my daily choices. Instead of reacting quickly, I’ve been able to step back, reflect, and consider what I might have otherwise missed. It’s helped me not just on how I make decisions, but how I show up—with more patience, empathy, and purpose.”

    — Paola Jones

  • "I attended POJ for many years with Brian Morgan teaching the class. The material, written by Paul Miller, is unlike any Bible study I have ever experienced. It offers a unique and much-needed perspective by focusing closely on the life of Christ during His 33 years on earth. This deeper look at how Jesus lived, loved, served, and responded to others helped me better understand what it means to reflect Him in my own life. Because the study is rooted in the real stories of Jesus’ life, it becomes deeply practical and personal.''

    —Amy Smith

  • "I have been part of a Person of Jesus (POJ) class taught by Amanda and Brian Morgan in Lakeland, FL for 2 years. I love the interactive style of delivery, the in depth discussions, and applications of what we learn about Jesus’ life during his human existence. I have learned that Jesus lived his human life modeling and teaching how he wants us as Christians to behave and live. The units of study, Compassion, Dependence, Honesty, Passion Give us concrete examples of how Jesus expects us to interact with others, care and serve one another, and values to practice that glorify his name. I am grateful to those who teach “POJ” for helping me mature as a Christian and grow closer to Jesus as I learn how to better walk in his footsteps."

    —Joyce Barclay

  • "The Person of Jesus study has shaped my dating life with Jesus. It’s like a relationship that I know I want to be more intentional with and gain more understanding of who the other person is (Jesus). I have seen through opening up my own home and starting my own “Jesus Circle” of men that they are seeing the same thing in their relationship with Jesus. I’ve seen my Jesus character traits shift from indifference to compassion, lying to honesty, independent to dependent, detached to passionate, and fear to faith. I am so thankful that Jesus met me at my well and told me everything I ever did.(past tense.) Now it’s all about the present and the future.”

    —Eriq Kesler

  • “POJ has been incredibly nourishing for my soul. I appreciate how we not only dive deeper into the life of Jesus, but also take time to reflect on His character. It has strengthened my self-awareness and encouraged me to look inward, examining my thoughts, feelings, and motives as I seek to live more faithfully as a follower of Christ.”
